- INTRODUCTION -
Presumably, you are a single-family homeowner, and you have been trying to SELL YOUR HOUSE for some while. Or maybe you’ve just listed it for sale, or are thinking about selling your house. Perhaps you are attracted to this writing because of the title. I promise you that no matter what you think, or what preconceived ideas or beliefs you have, this writing will most definitely assist you to accomplish your goal to SELL YOUR HOUSE, much faster than you would sell it without this information.
Maybe you’ve tried to sell it yourself, becoming one of those tens-of-thousands of sellers each year who feel they can “save” a lot of money on commissions because you won’t have to pay all those Realtor Fees. Or, perhaps you want to see if you can sell it yourself out of pride or for some other reason.
I’ll tell you right off: I went to school a number of years ago for my New Jersey Real Estate License, and, in most cases, if you are trying to SELL YOUR HOUSE yourself, whether in a good or not-so-good market for sellers, you will have a lot of unnecessary headaches.
I currently am not involved in the Real Estate field at all. However, I have been guided to write this piece to assist those people who sincerely want to sell their homes, or other pieces of Real Estate, and to unveil some very innovative techniques that may surprise you. Even if these techniques DO surprise you, and even if you do not fully believe they will work, try them anyway!
When I was involved in the Real Estate field, part of the brain-washing was that it’s really foolish for someone to try to sell their property themselves. After all, Realtors are PROFESSIONALS, and why not let THEM do all the work! This is actually a great folly, because YOU, the homeowner, actually do practically all the “work”, as you will soon discover as you read through this booklet and apply these techniques.
Frankly, it really doesn’t matter whether you try to sell your home yourself or enlist the assistance of a Realtor and expose your property to other Realtors through the Multiple Listing Services. However, if I had to make a choice between the two, and if I only had my primary single family home to sell, I would have to suggest you DO list it with a Professional Realtor.
There are several reasons for this: First of all, you will expose your home to all the Professional Realtors that are members of the Multiple Listing Service in your area. This could be a greater boon to you than merely advertising it in the newspapers yourself. Second, the Professional Realtor will be able to do all the bookwork and make all the necessary phone calls and take care of all the little incidentals for you that you might not be aware of, or not want to be involved in ANYWAY.
Lastly, and this is beginning to get into the real subject of this writing, it is foolish for you to think of not enlisting the services of a Professional Realtor because you think you will be “saving” money. In fact, this is not the case. You might likely end up SELLING YOUR HOUSE for a lesser amount by yourself, and you will have a lot more headaches as well.
Whether you’ve owned your home for a short while, or a long time, why not enlist the services of a Professional Realtor and share some of the money that will be generated from the ultimate sale of your property? It’s not mandatory, it’s just a suggestion. Why think cheaply when you can think prosperously and STILL accomplish the same goal, with a lot less worry!
As previously stated, whether you enlist the services of a Professional Realtor or not, you will probably have to expose your house to other people. You’ll likely have to place ads in the newspaper, tell people your house is for sale, have open houses, and eventually have dozens, possibly HUNDREDS, of people parading through your home. After a while, the whole thing may become a circus to you, and your frustration, worry, and your greater activity, by placing more ads, having more open houses and by adjusting the price DOWN, may actually hamper your chances of selling your property - at least, in the short run.
After all, you think, EVENTUALLY it will sell - RIGHT? Not necessarily. It depends how truly lousy the market is. This book will expose you to some techniques that no Realtor will tell you about, and, likely, that you would never have been exposed to had you not acquired this writing.
All I ask is that you read this book with an open mind, reserving any mental judgements for quite some while. After you begin using the techniques written here, you may find your life changing in MANY wonderful ways, as well as accomplishing what you thought was your ONLY goal or objective:

We’re just entering the Twenty-First Century, and for all the advances of society, we have often tended to do things the same way for generations because that’s the way it’s always been done and it has always worked before! To tell you a greater truth, that’s not really so. In fact, change occurs to society very slowly merely BECAUSE of that very false belief.
In reality, if you can change your thoughts, and accept new thoughts and new ways of doing things, your world will change miraculously, and in a very short period of measurement known as time. However, if you apply even a few of the techniques you’ll read in this book, your life may change faster than you ever believed possible. Almost by magic!!!
Society seems to change only by one person having a seemingly new, or revolutionary thought, and holding to that thought, until some other people concur with it and support it. This is how the industrial revolution came about. It seemed that up until that period we were just going along at no particular pace in no particular direction. Then, a few so-called “geniuses” got all these great ideas and were able to put them into action.
That period caused great strides and advancements in society, at least from a technological standpoint. From an individual personal perspective though, little has changed for thousands of years. Yes, it’s true that we have many modern conveniences and faster modes of travel. We have more leisure time and more of just about EVERYTHING! But have we really improved the QUALITY of life?
Do we not have more alcoholics and drug addicts now than ever before? Is not the crime rate for violent and other crimes increasing daily? Are there not more murders committed now than in previous years? Have we not killed more people in the last century through short- and long-term wars than in any period of our known recorded history? Do we not have more money now than at any time we can recall, and more people being indicted for fraud and theft than ever before?
Should we change our laws to make these crimes acceptable? Should we make more laws to protect ourselves from all that is wrong about society? NO, not really. We should begin to develop a strong inner sense of our own personal being. This personal development will not only change your life, it will help you SELL YOUR HOUSE - HONEST!!!
Whether you believe in God or not, it must occur to you that there is some kind of force, possibly an intelligence or “mysterious something”, that seems to run, or guide, our world, and the greater universe in which we live. You do not have to be overly concerned about this, or feel you have to take on the problems of the world in a personal way. All you have to do is make a few small adjustments in your way of doing things, and you can SELL YOUR HOUSE easier than you ever thought possible.
It seems a very roundabout way to approach this subject. However, what you will be reading in here is not your everyday commonplace information that the average person will tell you. In fact, you will no longer be an average everyday commonplace person after you read this book and begin applying the principles discussed here.

Our lives seem largely based on ACTION and COMMUNICATION. No matter what we do in life it involves these two acts. We communicate and have action on the physical level by speaking and moving. We can communicate verbally through the spoken word and by gesturing or making sounds of other kinds. We can have physical action by movement.
On the emotional level we have action by intense feeling. By feeling something intensely we affect something by this action. We also communicate with feelings that have no action, on this level as well. Love, passion, anger, hate - are all qualities that work in this area.
On the mental level we have action through thought, and we communicate through this channel as well. As you come to understand the important statements written above, you may find that your world is very largely controlled, and manifested, by the mental level. That is - through thought we create our world and we communicate this to others through those very same thoughts, as we send them out into the general universe of vibration.
Thoughts that are strong, and imbued with strong feelings, are bound to occur for us. Time, which occurs largely in the physical world, is the illusion that often makes us lose our drive and desire, because we do not see the immediate gratification of these desires. If you follow the techniques in this book, forgetting about the factor of time, and working only with the art of ACTION and COMMUNICATION, on all three levels mentioned: physical, emotional and mental, you cannot help but succeed.
There is another factor that we should make mention of. We may call it the INTRINSIC or HIDDEN FACTOR. It is not mysterious, it just seems a bit out of our control. The laws in the intrinsic factor seem to imply that unless something is for our own highest and best GOOD, or interest, it will not occur for us, no matter how much we persist.
What does this teach us? It teaches us that while we may set a goal and work toward the manifestation, or completion, of that goal, and as we act in the knowingness of that goal achieved, we must also become aware of anything that causes us to alter the goal slightly, or to abandon it completely, if that is necessary. This is because we will only receive from the universe what is for our highest and best good, or interest.
Just a quick note here: if you follow the techniques in this book you WILL SELL YOUR HOUSE and you will also sell it to the RIGHT person for the BEST price so that BOTH parties are satisfied.
Let’s get specific, now. Your main goal is to SELL YOUR HOUSE. That’s what this book is about, and all of the techniques described here will lead you to the accomplishment of that goal. It’s the HOW of it that is important. I mentioned earlier that it really doesn’t matter whether you try to SELL YOUR HOUSE yourself, called a “FIZBO”, in the real estate profession, coming from the letters: FSBO - For-Sale-By-Owner, or whether you enlist the services of a Professional Realtor.
Now you’re wondering why I said earlier that you probably SHOULD list with a Professional Realtor. YES, I DID say that. And I said that because even in a very good market for sellers, where houses seem to be selling like hot cakes, it will be substantially less stressful if you let a PROFESSIONAL handle the sale of your home. They will handle the countless little details that make the sale go smoothly.
HOWEVER, you must STILL do the techniques in this book to ensure that the process of your listing, sale, and moving to a new location go as smoothly as possible. And that you sell your house to the RIGHT person at the BEST price so that ALL parties are satisfied that they have made the best deal possible.
What is MOST important is that you set your goal and then take some action to accomplish this goal. Often it seems people are just lucky. Things just seem to happen for them. Well, that’s not really true, although it does APPEAR to be the case. We won’t get into anything that is not generally provable in our present lifetimes, though let’s just say: we only get back what we put out, and our actions may span greater periods of time than we can comprehend. People who SEEM lucky have merely set good causes into action and reaped good results.
You MUST set goals, and you must follow certain steps to achieve these goals. From here on we will be exposing numerous techniques for you to follow. It is not necessary to follow them all, and you may select those you feel are most in harmony with your own being.
In preparing to SELL YOUR HOUSE you may have already done many things that seem obvious, and a few that don’t seem so obvious. It does not really matter if you fix up your house or not. Just pay attention to what you are guided to do, and don’t listen to everyone else’s advice, because this will certainly confuse you greatly.

1) SETTING A PRICEThis is very personal, although you should take into consideration what the general market may bear. If your home is in the very upper price ranges, generally those above a million dollars, then pricing is really VERY individual. However, if your home is within a certain lower price range, find that price range, and find a price within it that you feel comfortable with. If someone down the street sold their house for $200,000 and you feel your house is slightly better than theirs, as we all seem to, then set a price you feel comfortable with - either the same or higher.
If your house is in the price range of $100,000 or less, or sufficiently above the $200,000 price range, then the same principles apply. Regardless of what the market external to you is doing, don’t be so swayed by it that you frantically lower your price every week, thinking this alone will help sell it. That may or may not occur. What will more likely occur is if you set a price YOU are comfortable with, and then follow the techniques in this book that will help you sell it at, or very likely, near that price, you will accomplish your goal with greater ease.
This, then, is one of the first techniques -
SET A REALISTIC AND FAIR PRICE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH.
2) CONVINCE YOURSELF YOU ARE SELLING YOUR HOUSE
For some people, it is difficult to believe they are actually selling their house, even after they have set a price and have either listed it with a Professional Realtor or put a sign outside stating they are selling it themselves. Since this is not a book about how to list your house for sale, I will only say that it is possible to SELL YOUR HOUSE through word-of-mouth alone, having no signs and no Realtors. You must do what you feel most comfortable with.
Convincing yourself you ARE selling your house means that you must mentally accept the fact that you have put your house up for sale, and that you will very shortly no longer be living in it.
A very powerful technique that works is to take a piece of oaktag, or posterboard, and place a picture of a house on it with a price under it. The house symbolizes YOUR house, and you may want to take an actual photograph of it and place it on the chart. The price represents the price you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE for. You might also want to place a SOLD sign somewhere on or near the photograph.
Look at this picture for five minutes daily. It will begin to fix in your subconscious mind that your house IS sold. And it will allow your conscious mind to begin to release the house, knowingly, by having accepted that it is ALREADY sold, and that you no longer live here. You might also want to do the same for the house you are buying - convincing your subconscious that you already own, and are already living in, the new house.
Generally, I make the assumption that those of you who are reading this book have tried many things to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and you are getting frustrated. Perhaps you have had your house on the market for quite a while. It doesn’t matter whether this is true or not, or whether you have only just placed it on the market. What you are interested in is results. And if you do this technique, you may have some startling results.
3) VISUALIZE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BUY YOUR HOUSE ACTUALLY PURCHASING IT
Perhaps one of the most important things to focus on is someone to purchase your house. But not just anyone. IT MUST BE THE RIGHT PERSON! or family. What does this mean, and how do you know, and how do you accomplish this?
Visualizing the right person to buy your house is not totally in your hands, although the initial action is. You simply formulate a mental statement, (writing it down would be more powerful,) stating that you want the universe to bring to your home, or into your personal world, the right person to buy your house. You are asking for the person who NEEDS to live in your home to come to your house and buy it.
If you have done all the right things, and taken all the necessary steps of preparation, then when this person DOES come along, they will simply say: OKAY, I WANT THIS HOUSE. If, however, you have not taken all the necessary steps of preparation, when this person does come along, they may not know it, because they did not FEEL it, and they may leave. Don’t be concerned: they will return, or someone else who needs to live in your home will come by.
Does this sound strange to you? It shouldn’t. We actually create our worlds by all the casual remarks we make all the time. Casual statements can either harm us or help us. Constantly speaking negatively about the world and yourself, will most definitely harm you. Getting into gossip with people, talking about the hardships of friends, or other people, or other countries, will often bring this hardship on YOU, in smaller or greater ways. What does it matter what others are doing? All you want to do is SELL YOUR HOUSE. So stop talking negatively about ANYTHING!
Sit down now and take a moment to write out this, or a similar statement: I ASK THE UNIVERSE TO SEND THE RIGHT PERSON TO BUY THIS HOUSE. You may write this statement several times a day, or repeat it mentally during the day as well. Then just relax and follow the other techniques in this book. Before you know it, the right person WILL come along and buy your house.
This statement is known as an AFFIRMATION, and you repeat it so that you can convince both your conscious and subconscious minds that you hold it as a truth. Then, almost mysteriously, it will come to pass. You can make affirmations about anything in your life that you want to occur. Since there are MANY fine books on affirmations, we won’t go into any greater detail here about them.
Now you have three potent techniques that will work in helping you to SELL YOUR HOUSE. They are the very least you should do in the beginning stages to SELL YOUR HOUSE. There is one other thing you should do:
4) HAVE AT LEAST A GENERAL IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO AFTER THE HOUSE IS SOLD.
Don’t wait until the last minute to decide. Don’t say: “Well, after we have a binder on it then we’ll decide”. DECIDE NOW! Write down NOW what you will do as soon as the house is sold, no matter what it is. If it’s to put your personal belongings in storage and go on a trip, then write that down. Your mind needs something to focus on, and if it is convinced it is moving, it also wants to know where it is going, otherwise it may not want to move, and will hamper your plans to SELL YOUR HOUSE.

Perhaps these techniques seem basic, simple, obvious, silly or even stupid. They may be that for you, however, they also work. We form our lives through our mental thoughts, and also our mental pictures, or visualization.
Generally there are three main techniques we will discuss with regards to ACTION and COMMUNICATION. All techniques are based on these and you may alter any of the techniques to suit you.
THOUGHT, SPEECH and WRITING are the main ones: VISUALIZATION (or picturing), and FEELING are two others. These are the important ways we communicate with ourselves and with others. If you call someone up on the phone and speak with them, that’s speech. If you write a letter, that’s writing. If you think about someone and they call you moments later, that’s thought communication. It’s nothing mysterious. It works the same way as visualization. You can think in words or pictures, and communicate with others. If they are receptive to you, they will respond. If not, they won’t, unless you persist.
Try not to succumb to the passion of control. You do not want to control others by thinking or picturing to manipulate them. You can, however, put thoughts and pictures out into the ethers, that you want to manifest in your personal universe. Then, if these thoughts or pictures are persisted in, and particularly if you don’t control their manifestation, and if they are for your highest and best good, and those around you, then often, they will likely manifest in your personal world.
If these thoughts and pictures need to be altered in any way, because they are flawed, or not really for your highest and best good, then pay attention to what little changes you should make.
Here’s a possible example: You have set a goal and made the statement that you want the right person to come along and buy your house. You have not, however, really released this thought, and are anxious to SELL YOUR HOUSE. A person comes along who appears to be financially qualified to buy the house, and in your eagerness, you agree to sell it to them - for 5 or 10% LESS than you listed it for. You are now happy, and have released some of your anxiety, because your house is sold. RIGHT? Well, not really. You have a PENDING sale.
Now, a week alter, someone else comes along who just loves your house. They want to purchase it, and for more than the buyer you are now under contract with. You cannot renege on the contract, without incurring some potential legal problems, and even though this SECOND person is willing to pay you closer to your exact asking price, you cannot sell it to them. You now get all upset, and say: “that’s the way it always is”. You should have waited, you think. But you didn’t.
Your tension has caused you to act irrationally. You forgot that you needed to set your goal, affirm what you wanted and then release that with no tension. Instead, in your tension, which manifested as eagerness and fear, you sold the house to the wrong person. Be careful now. Your confusing second thoughts about selling to the person who you are under contract with may likely fall through if you think too hard on it, wishing you had sold it to the second person instead. But the second person came along after the first.
If your first deal goes through, that’s great. Have no regrets. Likewise, if the deal falls through, it’s because of your confusing thoughts about having regrets. If the first deal falls through, don’t succumb to the old trick of seeking out the second potential buyer, the one who was probably the person who SHOULD have been the right buyer in the first place. They may likely be gone, or now want to pay less for your house, than your first potential buyer. Because this SECOND buyer senses your tension and your desperation.
Have you blown it? Not really. Just relax, and another right buyer will come along. Don’t’ be tense about it, regardless of what you see going on around you. And even if all the houses around you are selling for less than you have listed YOUR house for, don’t instantly lower your price. Before you adjust the price, reflect on this very seriously. You have already set a fair price, and have sent out the thoughts and pictures for the right buyer. This right buyer is looking for homes in your price range. If you alter the price, this buyer will not be the right buyer anymore, because you have created a whole new set of circumstances and conditions by changing the price.
Here then, you have four simple techniques to follow. They aren’t difficult, and they aren’t complicated and they aren’t very strange. They are things you would have done anyway, but now you are aware of them, and you are aware of the power they hold within them. By the way, you can use the posterboard technique for anything in your life that you want to manifest. For more information on this technique, called: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE TECHNIQUE, consult the books of Catherine Ponder, mentioned in the ADDENDUM.
Remember these four basic techniques, or:
ACTS OF PREPARATION:1) SET A PRICE FOR YOUR HOUSE THAT IS FAIR AND ONE THAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH;
2) CONVINCE YOURSELF YOU ARE, IN FACT, SELLING YOUR HOUSE, AND BECOME ADJUSTED TO THIS FACT;
3) VISUALIZE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BUY YOUR HOUSE BY ASKING THE UNIVERSE TO SEND THIS PERSON TO YOU; and lastly,
4) HAVE AT LEAST A GENERAL IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO AFTER THE HOUSE IS SOLD. A specific destination would be more appropriate.
5) ALSO REMEMBER TO RELAX - THIS IS ALWAYS A HIDDEN TECHNIQUE!

REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SEE OCCURRING AROUND YOU IN YOUR PHYSICAL, OUTER, VISUAL, MATERIAL WORLD, YOUR PERSONAL WORLD IS BUILT AND MANIFESTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!
Some people you’ll meet, and probably some you already know, and you may even be one of these people, appear to live their lives successfully and also in disarray. Their outer lives may appear to be totally disorganized, and yet, they somehow seem to get through life rather successfully.
That old statement: A NEAT DESK IS A SIGN OF A SICK MIND was probably devised by someone who didn’t want to take the time and effort to straighten up their desk, and so, made all those who ARE organized, feel they were doing something wrong.
In fact, it is very easy to take this factor of organization and become totally obsessed with it, creating an out-of-balance condition. What we are always seeking is to live our lives, in such a way as to create conditions of balance and order. We do this generally by making conscious efforts to change our lives in small ways at first. This helps to bring order into our lives and some balance.
There is no need to become obsessed with the techniques we’ll discuss in a moment. Doing some little thing everyday, on a consistent basis, will have a greater effect than if you do big things in a haphazard way. Discipline is always needed in our lives, and just focusing a little attention to organizing our lives can have a great effect over the longer period.
Again, however, in this moment, you are primarily interested, to SELL YOUR HOUSE. These techniques will bring you closer to achieving this main objective.
5) CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETSThis is a technique that many success-oriented writers discuss. In one of my other books I referred to this as: THE IMPECCABLE TECHNIQUE. It should be done with grace and with ease, not in a compulsive manner, or with the feeling that you must move mountains.
The technique involves just exactly what is says: CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS! For most people, this is a technique that should be done periodically, not just at a time when you are selling your house. In a rare event you are one of those people who already live a so-called ordered life, you will have to try a little harder to CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS.
You need to mechanically remove everything from your closets, and then clean out the closet itself by washing the walls, and VACUUMING it. Then, you should put back into the closet only what you really need and use. We’ll discuss what to do with the other items now.
A very dear friend of mine formulated a process he called: GOTES, which is largely appropriate for the next chapter on RELEASE as well, however, I’ll introduce it here, so you can see its relevance to your everyday life.
The letters: G-O-T-E-S represent words, and we’ll discuss them now. GOTES is a process you go through in your life. You may use it for people, situations, or things, or for anything that is in your life.
G = GIVEWith anything in our lives, whether it be a material object, a person, or a situation, we can do a number of things with it. One of them is GIVE. We can simply GIVE this item, person or situation away or up, as the case may be. In reality we are releasing the thing, person or situation, and becoming detached from it. When we say detached we don’t necessarily mean indifferent, although indifference can be a form of detachment. We mean that we are emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically detached from some thing.
O = OWNWe can truly own things only when they do not own us. This is a truism of the ages. When things possess us, or control us, we become slaves to these people, situations or material items. Being a slave to another person is a very unhealthy situation. It stifles us and does not allow us to find out who we are. Often, mothers are blamed for controlling their children, who then grow up in a warped way. Some people we work with, or have in our lives as friends or acquaintances, do the same thing. They want to control others, and in that controlling, create a very unbalanced condition.
To truly own a material object is to recognize and accept its worth, or value for us, and to use it as it is intended, appreciating it for what it is and for the service it provides for us. This is also very true of situations in our lives. We must come into an agreement of the value, or worth, of the situation in our lives - of what value or purpose it is to be in our lives, and then we can appreciate it. This is also true of people. When we respect and understand the reason certain people are in our lives we can begin to appreciate them for who and what they are.
We do not necessarily OWN people or situations or things, however, we come into a universal agreement that we are balanced with the things in our lives, and we do, in effect, become the master of a situation. That is, we have control and use restraint with regards to people, situations and things. We know where we begin and end and where the situation, person or thing is exerting an unnecessary power over our lives.
Take for example a person who is a compulsive buyer. They have so many things, they begin to identify themselves, and their personal worth, by their material possessions: house, car, jewelry, money or other things. This is not to say at all that people cannot live a lavish lifestyle having many material possessions. It’s only to say that YOU are NOT your material possessions. They our an outgrowth of your personal success. You do, in fact, OWN them when you understand their value, and when you can, in essence, live without them just as successfully.
To put it another way: when you know who you are and do not depend upon outer material things, other people or situations, such as a position or title in life, to define who you are, then you are truly the master over these things and may truly OWN them, because you respect them.
T = TRASHWe’ll discuss this more in the next chapter, just to say when people, situations or material items are no longer necessary in our lives, we can simply TRASH them, or throw them away. This may be accomplished by physically throwing something out, either an item or, in some cases, a person. We can also release these same things by thinking them away, wishing them goodwill, and then forgetting about them, assuming it is a done thing. That’s it for now on this category.
E = EXCHANGEIn some cases, we can take some item, person or situation and exchange it for another. Be careful that you are not EXCHANGING one BURDEN for another. That is surely not the purpose of this process. We may want to get rid of, in a sense, a personal friend who no longer fulfills a need for us, so we can EXCHANGE this person for someone who DOES fulfill a need in our lives. Naturally, we don’t exchange them as we would an item in the store, however, we emotionally and mentally do this, and with practice, this person fades out of our lives, and the new person comes into our personal world.
EXCHANGING an item is often simpler, especially if we can go back to a place it was purchased. This is the exact process we would use for people or for situations. Anything we feel we no longer need in our lives can be EXCHANGED for something we DO need. We can mentally and emotionally release the thing, and we can also physically do this, by actually taking the item to a place to EXCHANGE it for another item.
Also, since you are concerned about how to SELL YOUR HOUSE, this is an appropriate topic to mention. You are EXCHANGING one place for living for another. You are making a very large EXCHANGE in your life, though you need not feel overwhelmed by it if you take it one-step-at-a-time. That is, by beginning to clean out your closets, and evaluating each item using the GOTES process, you will see this process taking place in the rest of your life, as well, as you begin to seriously evaluate everything in your personal world.
S = SELLYou can always sell things, if someone wants to buy them. SELLING and BUYING are two halves of the same. Just as GIVING and RECEIVING are the two halves of the same cycle. If you want to SELL something, there must be a buyer. However, do not let your sense of pride, or your ego, trip you up. If you have an item you want to sell, especially small items, and there are no buyers, consider just GIVING them away, the first step in the GOTES process.
The whole purpose of the GOTES process is to evaluate the material items, situations and people in our lives, to see what their real value is to us. Are they really appropriate to be in our personal universe anymore? If not, then you must use the GOTES process to see which category the item, person or situation fits in. You can GIVE something away; OWN it, by coming into agreement with it, that you will OWN it, and it will not OWN you; you can TRASH something, or merely throw it away; EXCHANGE one thing you no longer need for something you do need; and lastly, you can SELL some things in your life.
Be very careful when using this evaluation process, that you do not hold onto things you really no longer need. If you truly want to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and the time is not right, or you are unable to go through the GOTES process, then likely, you will remain where you are and you will be very miserable. You can, however, just decide you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE and that you are ready to move on in life. You can declare this is what you want to do and then you can take the appropriate and necessary steps to accomplish your goal. Using the GOTES process, CLEANING OUT YOUR CLOSETS, the rest of your house, and also your whole life, are little things that have great effects.
6) HAVE A PLANOne thing many people fail to do is to have any kind of plan at all. Some have a plan, but it isn’t complete. And those that have even a partial plan, fail to do something that is so important I shall discuss it here. Having a plan is usually necessary for most people. And, even though you carry the plan in your head, if you WRITE IT DOWN you will find things occurring in your life in a much faster and much more solid and lasting way.
Why is this? It is because it is a universal law of focus. When you write things down you have taken them out of the ethers, so-to-speak, and you have centralized, grounded, or focused the energy, by writing them down on paper. You also release them from your mind. Writing is one of the most important ways to change your life, and one of the simplest as well. It is how you will SELL YOUR HOUSE.
Let’s assume you have listed your house with a Professional Realtor. Didn’t you sign a contract? And didn’t a sign appear on your front lawn? And didn’t your house appear in the Multiple Listing Book, with a photo and some written description along with it? All of these processes involved writing, and visual images. Without them, generally speaking, no one would even know your house was for sale and you would have no potential buyers coming by to look at it. Do you begin to see the power of writing?
I’ll let you in on a little secret here: even if you didn’t list your house with a Professional Realtor, and even if you didn’t put a sign outside yourself, if you merely wrote out your desires of selling, and a detailed plan, which you would work on a few minutes everyday, and if you focused on this plan, of which, to SELL YOUR HOUSE is a part, I tell you that the right person would come along to purchase your house. For most people, though, it’s not really believable to just THINK and VISUALIZE, so we need to use the outer channels of communication such as using a Realtor and listing the property.
There are numerous stories I’ve heard, which are true, in regard to this area. One in particular stands out. A homeowner, a man, was doing some yard work in his front yard. A stranger came up to him and asked if he wanted to tell his house. In the homeowner’s conscious mind, he was unaware that he might want to do this. When he asked the potential buyer what price he had in mind, they struck a deal right then and there. The buyer brought over PHYSICAL CASH and closed the deal quite promptly.
All homeowners, especially in a lousy real estate market, dream of this happening to them. However, did you pick up the subtle point of the example? If not, here it is: the homeowner, whether he consciously knew it or not, had already done the necessary things to organize his personal inner world, and those of his family, and he had already released his house, so that he attracted a potential buyer, even though he did nothing consciously to make any strides in this direction. Take a few moments to reflect on this example, for it is a truly powerful one for you to follow. Only you can FOLLOW it, knowing what secrets are unveiled by it.
Having a plan also involves knowing what you will do when the house is sold. As discussed in the first chapter, you must allow your mind to focus on the selling of the house, and also to where it, meaning the mind, will now go. Even if you don’t actually end up there, you must set a goal.
HAVING A PLAN is very personal, and it is not my place to tell you what YOUR plan should be. However, you should follow these guidelines:
WRITE YOUR PLAN DOWN;
REVISE IT EVERYDAY FOR FASTER RESULTS;
DO NOT BE ATTACHED TO IT MENTALLY OR EMOTIONALLY;
BE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN YOUR PLAN WILL COME TO PASS;
PAY ATTENTION TO ANY LITTLE ALTERATION YOU SHOULD MAKE IN YOUR PLAN;
LIVE WITH A HAPPY ATTITUDE KNOWING YOUR PLAN IS ALREADY COMING INTO MANIFESTATION;
RELAX.
Again I will state that many people just list their homes and seemingly sell them rather quickly. Whether they know it or not, and whether YOU know it or not, they have already done many of the things written about in this book. All that matters NOW is that YOU know of these techniques, and can use them consciously. When your house does finally sell, you will have worked with techniques you surely can use for a lifetime in all areas of your life. Prove they work by using them to SELL YOUR HOUSE.
7) ARRANGE YOUR HOUSEThis is a simple technique that is really an extension of CLEANING OUT YOUR CLOSET. You go through your entire house to put it into IMPECCABLE shape. That is, you straighten it up, clean it up and go through the GOTES process with everything in your house. As you do this, have a happy feeling, and a feeling of excitement. Visualize, as you do this, that you are already where you want to be. In each action release your present house and begin to think and visualize the new place you will be going to.
You do not have to do this technique, although it may help you very much. If you have done only things not of the physical, that is, used your thoughts and emotions, and written things down, that, alone, may help you SELL YOUR HOUSE. Even if you straighten your house so that it is clean beyond how you have normally kept it over the years, if you have not made the appropriate preparation inside yourself, then your house may not sell yet.
If, however, you have made all the necessary changes inside your personal world, then outer actions will only be the window dressing, and not the real thing. The “meat-and-potatoes” of the actions take place within you; the dessert is the outer actions you take to organize and clean the house; the check comes after you have finished the meal, and instead of YOU paying money to someone, someone else pays money to YOU.
8) POSITIVE STATEMENTSSomething I‘ll mention here, though it is really appropriate throughout this writing, and throughout your life, is the use of POSITIVE STATEMENTS. These can be written or not. Some people are able to formulate these statements, or affirmations, in their minds, and repeat them over and over. You attract to you what you most think about.
However, as previously mentioned, there is a greater power in writing things down. You can write your affirmations down, then read them aloud until they say exactly what you want them to say. Then, you can read them over a few times each day, visualizing, in pictures, what goes with the words. You can also write your affirmation over and over on paper, and this has a great affect as well. It takes a bit more time and effort than merely repeating them verbally, or silently to yourself, and you can invest more energy in visualizing the end result.
POSITIVE STATEMENTS, and casual words we speak during the day, is mentioned here, under ACTS OF ORGANIZATION, because it is part of organizing your thoughts. In fact, you are organizing your thoughts, feelings and actions, by using this technique. Whatever it is you want, write it down using positive statements and affirmations. Then, pay attention to those little thoughts that pass through your mind, or feelings, or things you may hear seemingly external to yourself. The universe is helping you accomplish your goals through these fleeting thoughts and seemingly random statements.
Even if your only statement is:
I WANT TO SELL MY HOUSE TO THE RIGHT PERSON,if you do this over and over, either verbally or in writing, you will become aware of the multitude of things you should do to enhance this strong desire you have put out to the greater universe.
As always, you may do these techniques as written here, or you may change them to suit you. In addition, feel free to devise your OWN techniques to accomplish your objectives. Remember: YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR HOUSE, so use these inner techniques that will guide you as to how to accomplish this task, in the most wonderfully simple, and painless way.

REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SEE OCCURRING AROUND YOU IN YOUR PHYSICAL, OUTER, VISUAL, MATERIAL WORLD, YOUR PERSONAL WORLD IS BUILT AND MANIFESTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!
In many ways, this may be the most important of the chapters in this book, because these techniques are not only very potent, you can also use them throughout your daily life and see miracles occurring.
On the surface, ACTS OF RELEASE appears to mean that by giving something away, or releasing from our lives, we have less because we have given something away. I’ll admit, on the surface, this appears to be so. That is, it appears that if we have say ten items and we give one away, we obviously have nine left. We have, in effect, lessened the number of things we have in our life.
In practicality, however, it’s an almost mystical process that occurs as we begin to release things from our lives - especially when we release things we really no longer need, whether these things are people, situations or objects. The objects can even be relatively new, and the situations can be those we have only been involved in for a short while, and the people can be those whom we have only just met. It does not matter. When we no longer need something to be in our lives, we must learn to release it. In this way, we make room for greater things to come into our lives.
You should perceive that what I’m aiming at here is that for so many people, their houses do not sell because really, deep down inside of their innermost recesses, they haven’t really released the house. The attachment to the house is still there, and no matter what else is done, this will almost certainly, and completely, block the right person from coming along to purchase the house so you can move on in life.
This, then, leads us into the next technique:
9) RELEASE YOUR HOUSEThis is a must! There is no compromise here at all, for even if you had sold your house and had not released it fully within yourself, you would stifle any good that might come of the sale. On the other hand, if you have fully and freely released your attachments to your house, emotionally and mentally, then you make room for the right person to come long and purchase the house so you can be physically released from the house and can move on into bigger and better areas in your life.
How, then, do we accomplish this release? It’s really rather simple to explain, and all-too-often, rather difficult to accomplish. Here are some helpful hints:
a) Write down a statement, everyday, several times a day, that indicates your strong desire to release your house. You can make up your own statement, though this is a pretty good one:
I FULLY AND FREELY RELEASE MY ATTACHMENT TO MY HOUSE, EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY.
I KNOW THE RIGHT PERSON WILL COME ALONG TO PURCHASE THE HOUSE AT A FAIR PRICE, ALLOWING ME TO BE FULLY AND FREELY PHYSICALLY DETACHED FROM THE HOUSE AS WELL, SO I CAN MOVE INTO BIGGER AND BETTER AREAS IN MY LIFE.
This may not be the most ideal affirmation to write down everyday, though it gives you an example of what I mean here. You can also state this affirmation, or whichever one you make up yourself, verbally. You should do this several times a day, whether you write it, say it aloud or just think it. When stating the affirmation aloud it is often helpful to do this out-of-doors. There’s something very powerful about speaking your affirmation to the greater universe when outside in open areas.
b) Picture you are released from your house. You can do this by using the exercise mentioned before where you put pictures of what you want on a posterboard and then look at them for a few minutes, several times a day. You might want to take an actual picture of your house. Make it a good one. Perhaps have it blown up in size. Then, have a SOLD sign on or near the picture, on the posterboard.
You might also want to have pictures of you, and your family, smiling with joy, indicating you have released the house and allowed it to sell. Paste these pictures on the posterboard as well.
These few techniques may seem silly, however, they are really very powerful tools. It is well-documented that many successful people have achieved their goals after many years of picturing them in their minds and holding to the absolute belief that they would achieve their objectives. In many cases, these goals, or objectives tives, seemed almost impossible due to economic, educational, physical or other restraints. Still, by having held to the ideal with unwavering faith, trust and belief, these people achieved their objective.
10) PRAISE, OR BLESS, EVERYTHING AND EVERYONEThis may seem like an unusual technique to write about in a book about how to SELL YOUR HOUSE. However, it goes quite well with the technique about visualizing the right person buying your house.
In this sense, by PRAISE and BLESS, we mean to give good will to everyone; to have a positive attitude toward all people and all things and all situations in your life, and to not be attached to them. And further, to maintain this attitude no mater what appears to occur for you. That is, if something seemingly negative occurs, you just PRAISE and BLESS the situation, releasing it with intentional detached good will. In this way, you have no attachments to things you really don’t want in your life.
You may want to verbally state everyday that you bless your house. You might want to actually walk through the house, blessing everything in it, visualizing yourself becoming more and more detached from all that you own. You might also want to take a walk around the outside, and praise, or bless the flowers and the grass.
Why have I written this technique here? It’s because there is something truly refreshing about praising, or blessing, things that are in your life. If you deny love from a child and always criticize, you will find, in the long term, that you have raised a paranoid, troubled child.
However, if you raise this same child with love, affection and praise, even when they do things that you don’t like, you find quite the opposite. You will find that your child grows into a fine, strong, mature individual that is balanced in most of the ways of life.
If you PRAISE, or BLESS, all the things in your life, they begin to have a different affect on you, as well. You begin to lighten in your life, and you begin to break the inner ties you have to your material possessions, and especially your house, which is a grand possession you want to now be detached from. After all, you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE.
By praising, or blessing, or saying kind words to your house, you do more than you know, consciously. You might want to say words similar to these:
I THANK YOU FOR HAVING BEEN MY HOUSE FOR ______ YEARS. I HAVE ENJOYED LIVING HERE, AND I KNOW RELEASE YOU, FULLY AND FREELY, SO THAT ANOTHER FAMILY MAY LIVE HERE AND ENJOY YOUR LOVING VIBRATIONS.
Again, please feel free to design your OWN affirmations. The important point with all these techniques is to realize that even though some of them are simple and some of them may even sound silly, they actually work, and you will find, if you look hard enough, that you have likely already been using these techniques in your life, probably in such a way that you reaped negative results, and not the strong, positive ones you really feel you deserve.
11) RELEASE YOUR ATTACHMENTS TO PEOPLE, SITUATIONS AND THINGSThis is a most important technique, and even though it was covered slightly in the other areas, it bears mentioning here again.
Here is an example that might likely hamper the selling of your house: You have lived in your house for say, twenty or thirty years, and, of course, have amassed a number of material things. You, like tens-of-thousands of other people, list your house and feel it will sell and then you will have a garage sale and maybe a house sale as well. After all, you should receive SOMETHING for the possessions you don’t want, right?
Well, let’s take another look at this situation and try to see an alternate approach. The releasing of items means you must follow the GOTES process previously mentioned. It’s a very important point. If you know that of all your present material possessions only about half will be ones you want to keep, then you know that in some way, you must rid yourself, or release from your personal world, half of the things that are in your house.
You can GIVE them away; OWN them again, or keep them; TRASH them; EXCHANGE them for other items, or SELL them. Naturally, like most Americans, you want to sell them, because you want some extra cash for yourself to have. After all, we tell ourselves, why not?
WHY NOT? I’ll tell you why not. If you can fully and freely release yourself emotionally and mentally from those items you no longer need, and you can just give them away, you will move further along a lot faster. You will allow your house to sell much faster if you don’t keep the strong attachments you have to these things. If you are still attached to these things, and if you still have those things in your possession, then you need a place to house these things. And where do you think these things will be housed until you release them? In your house, of course!
If you will release FIRST, then you will SELL YOUR HOUSE. If you are thinking you can SELL YOUR HOUSE first and THEN release the items, you’ve got it backwards. Yes, it is true, at least on the surface, that many people list their homes, sell them in a reasonable period of time and then have a house sale, making a few hundred, or even a few thousand dollars.
I’ll tell you that if you will just take all those items you had intended to sell, and give them to charity, or similar organizations, you will reap greater financial rewards by selling your house much sooner, and this sooner selling will bring you in a lot more money than if your house remains on the market and you have to keep adjusting the price downward.
Take these things into consideration, and see how you feel about them. If you agree, try them. Even if you don’t agree, try them, anyway, and pay attention to the results you get from them.
12) VISUALIZE, OR DREAM YOUR HOUSE IS SOLDThis is another simple exercise to describe, and also a difficult one to hold to and accomplish. It involves creating a mental picture of your completed desire: Your house being sold and you living in your new residence. You take into account all that needs to be there for detail, and then you hold to this visualization, or picture, with detached intensity.
Everyday, for even only a few minutes, mentally visualize your house IS sold. Visualize the right person coming along and smiling, saying how they love your house and want to buy it. Visualize the contracts being signed, and the moving vans coming to take away the remainder of your possessions, and driving them to your new residence.
Put everything you want into this visualization, or picture, and then, not only do this visualization mentally, throughout the day, do it before you go to sleep, and then pay attention to your dreams. You should pay attention to your dreams because as you begin to remember your dreams, and study them just a little, you will get some hints at what attachments you still have that you need to work on to fully and freely release your house.
If you are a single owner, and the only one who lives in the house, then only YOU can affect the sale of your house from these techniques. If, however, there are other people living in the house, who might be affected by the sale of the house, you must ask for their cooperation to SELL YOUR HOUSE. They, too, must make an effort to release the house. Although the principle owners are generally the ones who must to the releasing. Treat it like a game if you have children.
If the people who live with you are uncooperative, and you find resistance, and will not release their attachments to the house, then you can ask inwardly, in a kind, loving way, that they please allow you to SELL YOUR HOUSE by releasing them to their own highest and best good, or experiences, by the result of this sale.
We’re almost getting into the next chapter, so let’s top here and recap:
A) Release your emotional and mental attachments to your house by writing down statements of release and then repeating these statements verbally everyday or by writing them out. Also, picture yourself actually released from the house, or, rather, that the house is sold. Use the posterboard technique.
B) Praise, or bless, everything and everyone, especially things directly related to the house and its sale. You may want to do this for everything in your daily life as well.
C) Release your attachments to people, situations and things. This will allow you to lighten your emotional, mental and physical load, and to allow new, bigger and better things to come into your life.
D) Visualize, strongly, and in great detail, that your house is sold, and picture this detailed vision during the day and also before you go to sleep. Then, pay attention to any hints that come to you about things you should do to aid in the sale of your house, especially dreams that indicate areas of release you must still accomplish.
Here, then, are four good techniques, that you can adapt to your own needs, for working in the all-important area of RELEASE in your life!

REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SEE OCCURRING AROUND YOU IN YOUR PHYSICAL, OUTER, VISUAL, MATERIAL WORLD, YOUR PERSONAL WORLD IS BUILT AND MANIFESTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!
If you’ve gotten this far into this book, you’ve already discovered it is quite unconventional, and most probably not what you expected. I’m certain you may have been expecting a book that would describe traditional techniques of how to market your house for sale, and other outer techniques such as: open houses, newspapers ads, and other innovative outer techniques.
If that was the case, then I ask for YOUR forgiveness - the very title of this chapter. But I also promise you that you have not been duped. ACTS OF FORGIVENESS are, in many respects, similar to ACTS OF RELEASE, but since there are some important, striking and potent differences, I’ve included ACTS OF FORGIVENESS as a separate chapter.
To forgive may be thought of as: TO GIVE FORTH. Again, an act of releasing. However, the subtle differences with FORGIVENESS are that you can use ACTS OF FORGIVENESS to repair your life from any past period, and dramatically affect your present, when no other action can help you.
For example: Let’s say you had done something to a friend of years ago, or something transpired between you and a parent. This friend is out of your life and you have no way to track them down, or, perhaps, your parent is no longer living. You’ll see, as you read on, that ACTS OF FORGIVENESS can help repair your life so that you can move along faster. How do you, then, make repairs for these two people you cannot reach in the physical?
ACTS OF FORGIVENESS certainly come in handy, and we’ll show you just how to use some of them, and when to use them, as well. Feel free, as always, to create your own techniques.
13) RELEASE YOURSELF BY REVIEWING YOUR DAILY LIFEIn our lives we make many mistakes and we often offend people, sometimes unintentionally and quite innocently. There’s hope, though, for all the mistakes, or errors we feel we may have committed in our lives - especially when these so-called errors are against others. In reality, all socalled errors are only committed again our owns selves as potential learning situations.
You should not really be so concerned about offending other people when you have adopted the moment-to-moment attitude that all you do is right and for the good of yourself and others. As you work in this attitude more and more, it will become such a habit in your life you will never give it a second thought.
Even the most “perfect” person, if there is such a one, commits actions that offend others. For this we start by forgiving ourselves. We forgive ourselves for any errors we make, for people we offend, or for whatever we wish to forgive ourselves.
Some religions have a person one can go to and confess their “sins”. I have news for you, there aren’t any sins in life. There are, perhaps, errors in judgement, or seeming mistakes, but there aren’t any sins. And we don’t have to go to someone else to ask for absolution. We don’t even have to ask for absolution at all. All that we do have to do is to forgive ourselves. WE must give ourselves permission to forgive ourselves, and accept that we have the power to make our lives right.
Then, we simply say something like: I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR ANY SEEMING MISTAKES OR WRONG-DOINGS I MAY HAVE COMMITTED DURING THIS DAY. You can also say something similar on a moment-to-moment basis. Instead of always saying you are sorry, when you’ve said or done something that you sense has offended another, simply say something silently to yourself like: I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR THAT COMMENT AND I WIPE IT AWAY.
These techniques may seem simple and abstract, yet they truly work. It is not to develop the habit of forgiving yourself so that you can knowingly commit acts that need forgiveness. Quite the reverse is what we may strive for. We want to reach a point where all of our actions are harmonious with all of life, especially with what we know to be true.
You’re probably wondering what this technique has to do with selling your house? And that’s a very fair question. Just as you’ll find your life becoming lighter and happier as a natural result of all the ACTS OF RELEASE you will be performing, when you begin to forgive yourself, everyday, on a consistent basis, you will begin to see changes occurring in your outer world that have their roots in your personal inner world, and what can be more personal than forgiving yourself?
14) FORGIVE OTHER PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY BY NOT JUDGING THEMIt is important that you begin to become neutral about other people. Not that you ignore them or seem cold toward them, or refuse to form deep and lasting friendships. Rather, for most people we meet, we want to accept them for what, and who, they are, realizing that all people are merely a reflection of ourselves.
That sounds strange, doesn’t it! Take a moment to reflect on this point. If you wake up one morning and are in a really lousy mood, don’t you generally find that your surroundings reflect this mood? And that your day usually goes badly for you? And if you wake up in a really good mood, don’t you often find your surroundings reflect this back to you as well? And that your day generally goes pretty well for you? What’s happening here is that you attract to you what you give out.
I’ve read in numerous places that in the physical world, opposites attract. I don’t know if I fully agree with that statement. It seems more likely that complements attract; that what you personally manifest as a lack within your own self will be manifested for you, possibly through another person.
If someone says something to you that offends you, just silently say to that person, in your thoughts: I FORGIVE YOU; I KNOW YOU REALLY ARE A GOOD PERSON AND DON’T MEAN TO HURT ME. You might even want to throw in that oft-touted word: LOVE in there somewhere. You’ll be amazed how your silent ACTS OF FORGIVENESS, especially toward other people, will reflect back to you a very positive, loving world.
15) FORGIVE ALL SITUATIONS IN YOUR LIFE TO NEUTRALIZE AND BALANCE THEMAll situations in your life are also reflections of your personal inner world. This is because all of life is a test for your personal growth. If you accept this, and believe it to be so, then you have crossed a sacred boundary and everything that occurs for you will, in fact, be for your unfoldment. How you handle all that occurs for you in your life is paramount to you moving forward in life, and, consequently, even SELLING YOUR HOUSE!!!
The selling of your house is, after all, a testament that you have achieved something. It could be a grand moment of balance. It could be that you have released something of major importance in your life; even if it is something that you had always thought was petty. The selling of your house reflects back to you that you have likely reached a level of forgiveness that allows you to neutralize much that occurs in your life.
Here is an affirmation you might like to use. It is not one of my own. It comes to you from the writings of Catherine Ponder, whose address you will find in the back of this writing:
”I NOW LET GO WORN-OUT THINGS, WORN-OUT CONDITIONS AND WORN-OUT RELATIONSHIP. DIVINE ORDER IS NOW ESTABLISHED AND MAINTAINED IN ME AND IN MY WOLD...ALL THAT HAS OFFENDED ME, I FORGIVE. WITHIN AND WITHOUT, I FORGIVE. THINGS PAST, THINGS PRESENT, THINGS FUTURE, I FORGIVE. I FORGIVE EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY WHO CAN POSSIBLY NEED FORGIVENESS OF THE PAST OR PRESENT. I FORGIVE POSITIVELY EVERYONE. I AM FREE AND THEY ARE FREE, TOO. ALL THINGS ARE CLEARED UP BETWEEN US NOW AND FOREVER.”
That’s a pretty heavy statement, and I’ll tell you something - IT REALLY WORKS! I know, because I’ve used it myself. You should begin to notice some small changes at first, and as you build up your momentum you will see more striking results occurring for you in your life.
Again, what is the relevance of this practice to selling your house? By forgiving everything and everyone you neutralize your life, and you will have less burdens. As you have less emotional and mental burdens, you have greater freedom within yourself. With this greater freedom you relax, and with this relaxation, you allow the right person to come into your life who will buy your house. After all, that’s what we’re after here, isn’t it?
16) PRACTICE FORGIVENESS FOR THOSE THAT ARE CLOSE TO YOUIt is likely that you have strong attachments to those who are close to you, whether they be friends, or relatives. These are often the hardest people to forgive, because we are close to them, and may not even feel we should forgive ourselves in relation to them, or these very people in relation to ourselves. This is a grave mistake, because for probably a very long time you have interacted with these people and have become so accustomed to their ways of being, you are unaware that they may actually be harming you rather than helping you in your personal growth, and in selling your house.
It’s difficult to see our own faults, but it is so easy to see the faults of others. Do not be fooled by this seeming paradox. The very faults, lacks or imperfections we see in others, are the very faults, lacks and imperfections that exist within ourselves. How fortunate we are to be able to have other people as a mirror for ourselves. It’s almost like color. When you see something that is BLUE, we are told that this item reflects back to us ALL the colors EXCEPT blue.
Because of the closeness of the relationships between relatives and friends, this area requires special ACTS OF FORGIVENESS. This is because, unlike a casual acquaintance, or business associate, these people are intimately involved in our lives, and may often cross the sacred line of non-interference, causing us to have built up a tremendous amount of hidden hatred toward these people over the years.
Likely, we may even have sublimated this hatred and anger and repressed it so deeply, we are immune to it, and don’t even know that it exists. It’s time to clean out your personal inner closet - the one that exists within your own mind and your one emotional rooms.
I, too, have to do these techniques, because I am far from perfect. Doing these techniques is a constant process of growth. You don’t do them once and then say: OKAY, I’M DONE!!! By constantly and consistently releasing and forgiving ourselves, situations and other people, our lives being to move like a well-oiled machine, and we may never suffer the friction that can slow us down, or burn us out.
Affirmations you can use for this area are very personal, and I don’t have any suggestions. However, you can say them aloud, verbally, for best results. You can say them silently, even addressing the person you want to come into balance with. You can also write down the affirmations, and you can also write a letter to this person - you don’t have to mail it. You can write the letter and then either save it or just throw it out. What matters is that you have opened up the inner channels of communication.
You can also picture yourself forgiving others. This picturing process is very potent, and one well-worth perfecting. You can gain more with picturing than with words, although words are very significant. The statements that:
ONE PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS
seems appropriate here, because in the instant it takes you to visualize something and release it, you might have to write pages and pages of words to accomplish the same result.
When you picture something, remember to use thought, feeling and action. You visualize, or create a picture, in your inner worlds, with strong feelings and then visualize the picture, or desire, in motion. You are putting action into an otherwise still and lifeless picture.

This ends our presentation on forgiveness, because it’s often a very personal subject, and not everyone is ready to release everything in their lives. After all, if we give it all away, aren’t we left with nothing? And if I forgive everyone, am I not left with nothing to complain about?
Regardless of how long you have lived in your present house, if you have worked in the area of RELEASE and FORGIVENESS, then you can release your house and you can also FORGIVE YOUR HOUSE. That’s right! Forgive your house for whatever you feel is appropriate to forgive your house for. You might want to forgive your house for the time the pipes froze, and you got angry; or the roof need to be replaced, and you complained because of the inconvenience and expense; or because of its location, which you are convinced is the reason your house isn’t selling quickly enough for you.
Especially with regards to your house: Everything you do in this area should be done with the sincerest form of love. You should have the most positive and loving feelings as you address your house as if it were a person. For indeed it is an being with a life of its own, and you have contributed to that life. Now, you want to be released from this house, and you want to be forgiven for all in relation to this house, so that THE RIGHT PERSON CAN COME ALONG AND BUY IT, remember???
Here, then, are at least four good techniques for ACTS OF FORGIVENESS in your life. There are likely others you will discover as you work with these:
A) FORGIVE YOURSELF BY REVIEWING YOUR DAILY LIFE.
It is a great time to do this at night before you drift off to sleep. This way, you can rest easy, with a clear mind, and your dreams will likely be pleasant, because you have unloaded and released the daily burdens you used to carry into your sleep time.
B) FORGIVE OTHER PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY BY NOT JUDGING THEM.
It is also good not to judge ourselves, either. As you begin to judge others less and less, you will notice a greater respect from them for you, and they won’t even realize why. Your silent complaining, which is often a judgement of another, does more harm to you than you realize. Change the habit NOW, and forgive your past acts of this kind.
C) FORGIVE ALL SITUATIONS IN YOUR LIFE TO NEUTRALIZE AND BALANCE THEM.
The many situations in your life may not be ideal, however, if you stop complaining about them, realizing you are in them for some lesson to learn, you will be able to learn the lesson much quicker and move on in life. Selling your house is a great release.
D) PRACTICE FORGIVENESS FOR THOSE WHO ARE CLOSE YOU.
Our closest friends and relatives can be our biggest support or our biggest downfall. Much of this depends on our attitude toward them. Begin to forgive yourself for the feelings of negativity you harbor toward and for them, and also forgive them for the way they are, and accept them as they are.
These four techniques work well in moving you further along in life, and much closer to your goal:

REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SEE OCCURRING AROUND YOU IN YOUR PHYSICAL, OUTER, VISUAL, MATERIAL WORLD, YOUR PERSONAL WORLD IS BUILT AND MANIFESTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!
If the word DISCIPLINE scares you, it shouldn’t, whether you know it or now, we all always do some things in a disciplined way. The dictionary refers to DISCIPLINE variously as: to punish; control gained by obedience or training; orderly conduct; a system of rules governing conduct; to train or develop by instruction and exercise especially in self-control.
You may think of DISCIPLINE as a regular, habitual performance of actions that we do everyday. Brushing your teeth, or taking a shower, can all be considered actions that take discipline. It isn’t forced action that we strive for, rather, we look for actions that we implement into our lives that gradually, or, in some cases, quickly, become habits, or automatic actions, through the art of DISCIPLINE.
In using ACTS OF DISCIPLINE we merely want to change our ways, ever-so-slightly, at first, so that what we are doing in our daily lives, on a moment-to-moment basis, affects us in a more positive way, and in a much faster, and dramatic way than ever before.
We all do things out of habit, so we may consider that we already have some discipline in our lives. Changing some of our old habits may not seem easy, but in fact, it really is quite simple to accomplish. Once new habits are established, through the art of discipline, our lives may be changed for the better. You may think of discipline also as persistence in doing something. That is, we do something until we accomplish it.
17) ESTABLISH A NEW BEHAVIOR AND DO IT EVERYDAY UNTIL IT BECOMES A HABIT.
Some authorities indicate that the forming of a new habit requires the doing of something for 18, 21 or 30 times in a row, repeatedly, until it becomes a habit, or automatic, in action. I don’t know if this is true in all cases and for all people. However, I do know it is just as easy to save money regularly as it is to spend it, and it is just as easy to lose weight as it is to gain weight, merely by changing our habitual behavioral patterns.
To SELL YOUR HOUSE is no different. If you have been trying to sell it for some time, then you must being to establish new habits that will allow you to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and not the reverse (to KEEP your house). What new behaviors you want to establish, through discipline, are those that only YOU can decide on.
In some cases these new behaviors will be those you want to incorporate into your lifestyle because they seem pleasant. In other cases the necessary behaviors may be ones you really would rather not implement into your lifestyle because you feel they would be too difficult to maintain.
A difficult example is this: holding your mind focused on a single thought that may be new to you such as:
REGARDLESS OF WHAT I SEE OCCURRING AROUND ME IN MY PHYSICAL, OUTER, VISUAL, MATERIAL WORLD, MY PERSONAL WORLD IS BUILT AND MANIFESTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!
may seem difficult at first and not what you really want to do. After all, it’s easier to play and fall back on old thought patterns and habits that are comfortable, rather than plod on into new territory. We MUST get out of our comfort zones and move forward if we are to grow as a person.
If you take a single affirmation, such as the one just mentioned, or even the one previously discussed:
I WANT TO SELL MY HOUSE TO THE RIGHT PERSON
you will to see your life focused around this statement, and you will begin to change your life, through little effort of your own, other than the repeating and focusing on the statement, or affirmation. After a while you might want to alter the above affirmation to say:
MY HOUSE DOES SELL TO THE RIGHT PERSON!
You can form a statement, or ideal, that you want to now focus on, or centralize your life around, and by writing this statement out, saying it aloud, and picturing it as being already true in our personal world, or a combination of all three, you will find yourself doing things that conform to that very statement.
If you want to begin a regular, daily physical exercise program, then obviously, and ultimately, you must do something physical. If doing physical exercise is something you really dislike, you must change your thoughts first, and then the physical action will follow. This is because the body goes where the mind takes it, or leads it, as the case may be.
If you were to repeat an affirmation such as:
I WANT TO BEGIN A DAILY EXERCISE PROGRAM THAT WILL CAUSE MY BODY TO FUNCTION AT ITS PEAK LEVEL,
or something similar, and you repeat this statement in such a way that you smile each time you say it, and even visualize what would occur after your body is so perfectly physically conditioned, such as better health, a more active social life, or whatever you want, you will begin to see your outer life changing in subtle ways at first, and then, perhaps, in more dramatic ways.
How will all this help you to SELL YOUR HOUSE? Again, it is your habitual thoughts, feeling, actions and words that have kept your house from selling, for the most part. It really has nothing to do with the market being lousy, although I slipped that into the title, because that’s what most people are focusing on. And the more people focus on the market being lousy, and how difficult it is to sell their house, the truer this situation becomes for them.
Why not change your habitual thoughts, actions, feelings and words, so that you convince yourself it really IS a GOOD market! and that houses are already selling, and that the right person will come into YOUR life to purchase YOUR house? It couldn’t hurt you to try this switch in attitudes.
You’ve likely persisted in life and formed many destructive habits. We ALL have done this. It’s now time to change these destructive habits, slowly at first, so that your life becomes the way you truly want it to be. By creating affirmation you want to incorporate into your life, and working with them everyday, your life will begin to change in truly amazing ways.
Since your outer life is really formed from your inner world, by changing your thoughts and beliefs, and holding to these new thoughts and beliefs, they become a part of you, and through the act of soft discipline, your life begins to change, and to become the way you want it to be.
Everything in our lives comes to us because of who and what we are. If we are our thoughts and actions and words, then we must begin to change these thoughts, feelings, actions and words so that our outer lives change, as well. It’s a law of the universe that you attract to you what you give out.
Recently, I was commenting to a friend that even in these last several years of so-called lousy real estate markets, where things appear to be getting worse, more millionaires are being made everyday, than ever before, and the stock market is rising higher than ever, while inflation is not really out of control. What does this all tell you? It should tell you that regardless of what the outer circumstances of others may be, yours can be what YOU want them to be, and they can be this way by merely changing your inner world.
This all takes discipline, but if you think of discipline as merely a change in attitudes or perspective, and not as something difficult, and if you chip away at it slowly, regularly and consistently, everyday, your little efforts will produce big results, and you will SELL YOUR HOUSE through your changed attitudes.
18) FOCUS ON ONE SINGLE IDEA AT A TIME
This is similar to the above-mentioned technique, but with some subtle differences. Let’s try this one. Take some area of your life that seems to need attention. Let’s say it’s trying to SELL YOUR HOUSE, or something seemingly smaller, if that suits you. Now, sit down a moment and quiet your mind. Think about this situation and then upon possible solutions or ways to change the situation to help it become the way you want it to be.
As you begin to release the old habit-patterns, and forgive yourself for engaging in them, all techniques we’ve previously discussed, you will make room for new insights to come into your world. These new insights are those that will help you begin to change your old habit-patterns into new, more productive ones.
Take this single idea, and keep your mind focused on it. This is the idea, or habit-pattern, that you want to change. As you focus on the way it is now, and as you begin to release it, and earnestly seek new ways of doing things, so that this particular habit-pattern no longer drags you down, you will begin to get new insights.
You may want to form a new affirmation that will support a new habit-pattern that will eradicate the old one; whatever is most comfortable for you. Perhaps you are led to physical action, or merely a slight change in thoughts comes first. Whatever it is, break your insights down until you get to something simple and start with that.
So, you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and you’ve worked with some of the techniques in this book, whether you were aware of them or not. Now you’ve come to this section on ACTS OF DISCIPLINE. You are focusing on what you need to do to SELL YOUR HOUSE. If this is your only thought, and you focus on this one thought, you will see that dozens of thoughts will come into your mind that all seem logical: list with a broker, tell everyone I know; lower the price; clean the house; sell everything; worry; get uptight; have fear; just wait; and there are many others.
Of course you generally don’t consciously include worry and fear and so many other destructive habit-patterns in your picture, but they are usually there, nonetheless, unless you consciously choose to remove them, by forgiving yourself for engaging in them, releasing them to the universe and asking for new things to replace them.
Since the mind really abhors a vacuum, when you get rid of one thing, you must replace it with another. This is why focusing on one thought or situation at a time is so powerful. You will begin to see how the whole process works. And you only need to invest about ten or fifteen minutes a day, maybe even five, as you become more adept at this technique. Do this in your own room, or somewhere you can have some privacy.
If none is available to you in your house, then go to a park, or some other place where you can focus your attention. Even a busy shopping mall can be a great place to try this technique, because here, in a physically crowded environment, you can also practice the art of detachment from your surroundings, which proves to be very valuable.
19) HOLD TO YOUR NEW THOUGHTS NO MATTER WHATYou don’t have to force your mind to change, and in fact, if you do try to force your mind, you may have disastrous results. Throughout the last twenty or thirty years, many systems have come out that have worked in the mind area, trying to change lives by changing the mind.
Many of these paths worked, for a while, but as the group disbanded, and as the people became tired of always working so hard at controlling the mind, these systems faded away, and because people achieved things through forced choice, they often lost these very things, and fell back into the same slumps from which they had just crawled, or even further down into a deep pit.
We can change our lives permanently and it’s really easier than we may at first thing. All it takes is the formulation of thoughts and focusing on ideas that we want to manifest in our lives, and to do this on a regular and consistent basis.
Since we are seeking a new life, with new habit-patterns, we want to also have balance in our lives, and to change our lives in a way that is more holistic, or natural. If you really hate selling, then becoming a salesman, and even making a lot of money, will not satisfy you. However, let’s say you want to become, oh, a painter, or some trade that does not generally appear to pay much money.
If you do in your life what seems most natural to you, and you enjoy the work you do, then just a slight change of the focusing of your attention can cause you to earn a lot of money from this same activity - regardless of what others in the same field are doing. How to accomplish this is what you must discover for yourself, just as how to SELL YOUR HOUSE is something you must discover for yourself.
The mechanics of selling a house are there, and thousands of people can tell you what they are. Don’t ever forget that a Realtor wants to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and they may ask you to lower the price more and more because this is the only way they know. Actually, the traditional outer actions for selling a house have little effect against a strong, disciplined, inner faith, trust and knowingness that YOUR HOUSE WILL SELL, as you do the right and necessary inner actions to support this belief.
Each day, take one new thought that you want to incorporate into your life, and focus on it throughout the day. Try to focus on it to block out any negative thoughts that may attach you. It’s likely you may find, at least in the beginning, that everything will attack you, including your circumstances. As a real example, when you listed your house, you may have been very excited, and positive that it would soon sell.
You may have engaged the services of a Professional Realtor, and set a price and listed it with the Multiple Listing Service in your area. Then, even though you had some scattered thoughts of joy, and some delusions of how simple it should be to SELL YOUR HOUSE, the apparent outer reality of the lousy market intruded on your fantasy. Everyone began telling you that the market is lousy, and you believed them.
“There are so many houses on the market”, and “it’s just a lousy market”, become such prevalent thoughts in your mind that not only do you begin to believe them whole-heartedly, you also begin to feed your personal energy into these thoughts, and you create an even more devastating situation. Should you really be concerned about how lousy the real estate market is, when you know that it is really a BOOMING MARKET, and that THE RIGHT PERSON WILL COME ALONG TO PURCHASE YOUR HOUSE AT THE RIGHT PRICE, which you have set yourself??
How can I support this statement? Didn’t Alexander Graham Bell come up against tremendous odds and defeats in trying to develop the telephone? It doesn’t matter who originally developed it, even if it wasn’t him. The important lesson here is that HE believed it was a good idea, and HE was willing to invest his very life into it, and only through his persistence and patience and perseverance, was he able to make himself a total vortex for this belief, until it became a reality, and others began to believe in his dream as well.
How simple, it must now seem, that you can, of course, SELL YOUR HOUSE. You don’t have to change a whole world, as Alexander Graham Bell had to. You aren’t creating anything new in the world. People have been selling, and buying, real estate for thousands of years, and probably longer. What YOU want to do is to focus the energy, as Bell did, so that people believe you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE. YOU want to become a strong, impenetrable vortex of energy that people will step into and be so convinced about they will be unable to shatter your personal beliefs.
As another example, if you develop a new candy, let’s say, who cares? Many people may say it’s a great idea, but you, as the developer, or originator of the thought that manifested into reality, are the one who has to put in the blood, sweat and tears into getting the candy out to the market. It seems like a simple idea, but see what really happens. There are already lots of candies on the market, so you don’t have to change peoples’ thoughts about candy.
However, since there ARE so many candies on the market already, it becomes difficult for you to sell YOUR candy, as well; unless you believe in your item so much that you do not recognize any such thing as competition, or defeat, or that the people who will buy your candy could possibly refuse to see how great it is.
Why not take this very same example and apply it to SELL YOUR HOUSE? You have this great idea:
Let’s SELL THE HOUSE!
It sounds like a great idea, and even though you have only one product to sell - YOUR HOUSE, you still have to attract a buyer in some way, for your one product. There are thousands of houses for sale in your area, so there is some competition, but not if you believe there is no such thing as competition, and if you hold to the single thought that
YOU ARE SELLING YOUR HOUSE AND THE RIGHT PERSON WILL COME ALONG TO BUY IT.
Now, even though you aren’t selling candy, at a few dollars an item, it is still the same principle. You have something you want to sell, and you know there is a buyer out there who wants to buy it. You must do all the necessary things to cause this buyer to come into your personal universe and to buy YOUR item, or house, which is for sale.
If you will:
HOLD TO YOUR NEW THOUGHTS NO MATTER WHAT,and focus your attention on your primary objective: to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and if you will pay attention to whatever little nudges you get from inside that will give you little hints about how to go through this process, you will easily and effortlessly SELL YOUR HOUSE, no matter what other people are doing.
After all - some people like Godiva Chocolates, others like Mars Bars, others like Milky Ways, others like Snickers, and still others like other types of candy. Some people will like YOUR house and some people won’t. It really doesn’t matter. What DOES matter is that YOU know, in your silent, secret, inner chambers, that you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE, and that the right buyer is already out there, looking for your house. All you need to do is change your ways and do the necessary things that will allow this right buyer to come into your life and to say: OKAY, I WANT TO BUY THIS HOUSE!
20) DON’T BE EASILY INFLUENCED BY THE IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS OF OTHERSThis technique may seem similar to the previous one, however, it seems to bear re-mentioning. It’s important for you to form your own thoughts, and thusly to create your own world. However, once you begin to do this, you will be bombarded by the thoughts and suggestions of others; particularly because you have become focused in your attention.
It is extremely important, especially in the early stages, that you do not let yourself be swayed by others. In fact, you should keep silent about what you are planning to do within yourself. If you have decided to take some action, even if you do not know all the factors involved in it, that will cause this action to come to completion, keep silent about it, and the way will be shown to you.
It is almost guaranteed that as soon as you reveal your plans for success, or for any action, to others, they will begin to tear it apart and ultimately to destroy it. They can’t help themselves. It seems to be that people don’t really want to see others become successful and move ahead in life - especially to move ahead of THEM in life.
What does this have to do with SELLING YOUR HOUSE? When you first decide to SELL YOUR HOUSE, you might want to keep this thought to yourself. In this way, you can already begin to build up some momentum toward that sale, especially if you use many of the techniques in this book. You can begin to use them, even before you announce, openly, what your intention is.
Even after you have officially stated that you want to SELL YOUR HOUSE, whether you list it with a Professional Realtor, or try to sell it yourself, you must silently continue with the techniques in this book, and never mention them to anyone. As soon as you do they will show you, in a very convincing way, how silly you are. You will be convinced of this, and you will probably stop doing the techniques. Your friends, however, will ponder a while on what you’ve told them, and will see the wisdom in these techniques. They’ll be using them, and sell their house, and you’ll still be wondering why your house has not yet sold!
Discipline, then, can be a great key to move you along, by defining the techniques you will use, and going ahead in the knowingness that these techniques work and that they will work for YOU. Have the drive, dedication and discipline to carry out your thoughts through to completion and you will most surely SELL YOUR HOUSE.

D) DON’T BE EASILY INFLUENCED BY THE IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS OF OTHERS.
Do not fall into the trap of asking for advice. Learn to keep silent about your plans, at least in the beginning. And even after your plans begin to manifest in your outer world, it is not necessary to expound every detail of the HOW of the way you accomplished it, to your friends, relatives and acquaintances.

REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SEE OCCURRING AROUND YOU IN YOUR PHYSICAL, OUTER, VISUAL, MATERIAL WORLD, YOUR PERSONAL WORLD IS BUILT AND MANIFESTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!
Few books on success, visualization or the power of positive thinking include a chapter on GRATITUDE. And yet, in some ways, even after you’ve done all of the outer things you can think of, and all of the inner things, written about in this writing, and more, without GRATITUDE, you may be missing a key element to accomplishing your prime objective, which in this case is to:
SELL YOUR HOUSE!!!
GRATITUDE is more than just saying thank you or being thankful for something, whether it be a material objective you have achieved, a quality you have been able to instill within yourself, or for someone who has come into your life, such as a good friend, potential lover or business acquaintance.
The dictionary refers to GRATITUDE merely as thankfulness. You should begin to know that GRATITUDE is more a deep reverence and appreciation for things, coupled with a deep, unwavering thankfulness for all that you receive in your life. GRATITUDE becomes a way of life, and through the development of a strong feeling of GRATITUDE, your life takes on a new meaning and new direction.
I do want to take one moment here and state that you can find MANY examples of people who gain money, fame, material objects, without using any of the techniques discussed in this book. They are working on the level of competition and the things they gain are rarely lasting, and the lessons they learn are very minimal. They are not interested in understanding or working with the INNER channels of the universe.
It must be apparent to you, if you’ve read this far into this book, that what is being exposed here are more than techniques to just SELL YOUR HOUSE. These are techniques that will HELP you SELL YOUR HOUSE, and also techniques you can apply to other areas of your life as well, to accomplish things in a balanced and holistic way.
What does this mean: BALANCED and HOLISTIC?
Balanced means you have come to terms with any given situation and are not attached to the results, emotionally. You have set a goal, taken all the necessary steps to accomplish this goal, that you have been guided to take, and you are resolved that this goal, or objective, will be accomplished, or something greater will be shown to you as another goal or objective. In either case, you learn to develop a quality of balance in which you are emotionally and mentally detached from the results, because you know it does no good to become worried, uptight or concerned about the goal coming into manifestation.
By holistic I mean living your life in such a way that everything you do is both for your own good and for the good of those around you. To SELL YOUR HOUSE is certainly good for you because it proves, in a very real way, that you have accomplished something by the very action of the selling of the house. It is also good for you because it allows you to move on in life, hopefully into bigger and better situations and experiences.
Selling your house, when accomplished using the techniques in this book, is also good for everyone else, because you have learned so much through the experience, you will have enlightened other people, even without saying anything to them verbally. Your very presence will be an upliftment to others, who will enjoy being with you, and they will be unable to walk way without first having been touched by the love and gratitude you radiate.
21) BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE
One of the first techniques to describe is that of being thankful for EVERYTHING that is already in your life. These can be material items, qualities, people, or situations. A simple statement to formulate, and repeat daily, through writing, speaking or thinking is:
I AM THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE.
I AM THANKFUL FOR:______,
and then you will in the blank. You may be thankful for many things in your life. You should write them ALL down, and revise this list as you become aware of more things you are thankful for. You don’t have to write EVERYTHING at one time.
Why do this? It is a universal law that when you radiate positiveness, this is what is returned to you. What of those who APPEAR to radiate positiveness and good will toward others, and yet they seem to only reap negativity and sorrow and pain? You may even be one of these people. It seems that the reasons for this are that you must persist in GRATITUDE and being thankful for everything, for a longer period of measurement known as time, because you need to develop a much stronger and higher degree of it.
Take a few moments to do a silent contemplation, or reflection, on just what ARE the values of being thankful for everything that is already in your life. Coupled with ACTS OF RELEASE, being thankful for things is an acknowledgement that you appreciate all that is in your personal universe, and that you accept their worth; whether thing, person, quality or situation, and only then can you truly go through the GOTES process:
GIVE, OWN, TRASH, EXCHANGE or SELL.
22) BE THANKFUL FOR ALL THAT OCCURS FOR YOU IN YOUR LIFEThis technique hints at something very special. No matter what occurs for you in your life, or what you receive, whether you receive what you thought you wanted, or something else, always be thankful. Always have GRATITUDE for what comes into your life, because whatever comes into your life is there for a reason, and very often, if you do not learn the reason, or the lesson, why something is in your life, it will remain there until you DO learn the lesson, and can release this thing, if you do not want it anymore.
Take the very thing you have purchased this book for: to SELL YOUR HOUSE. If you are like many other sellers on the market, as of this writing, you wonder why your house has not yet sold. Because there are so many homes on the market for sale, you begin to convince yourself that your house has not sold because: there are so many homes on the market; there are not enough buyers around; the price is too high; the location is poor; there is something structurally wrong with the house; and a host of other poor reasons.
If you believe any of these reasons your house has not yet sold, you are duped in the grandest way.
YOUR HOUSE HAS NOT YET SOLD BECAUSE YOU STILL NEED TO HAVE IT IN YOUR POSSESSION.
LOOK INSIDE YOURSELF FOR THE DIVINE GUIDANCE TO REVEAL TO YOU THE REASONS FOR THIS.
Once you discover the reasons you are still living in your house, or still own your house, you will be able to be truly thankful for having it, truly thankful for the lessons you have learned, and you will be truly able to thank, forgive, and release the house so that someone else may learn from it, as well.
You may be wondering how a material item, such as a house, can teach you anything. Well, other people are also physical items, although we don’t usually think of them as MATERIAL, because material, to most people, indicates something that was purchased, and you can’t really buy people, can you!
23) BE THANKFUL FOR ALL THAT YOU EXPECT TO COME INTO YOUR LIFEThis is a truly important technique. After you have set a goal, or objective, become aware of any changes that need to occur in these goals, and also be thankful that this thing is already manifesting in your life. If it is the sale of your house, then be thankful, at the outset, that the house is already sold. This will cause the end result to occur much more quickly, in a more balanced and holistic way, and you will have reaped greater rewards through these actions, than if you try to force the sale of your house.
When you set a goal, or objective, no matter what it is, even if you are unaware of what to do at the outset to accomplish it, pay attention to every little hint you get inside of yourself. Perhaps you get a hint to print up some business-type cards that describe your house for sale. This is an unusual technique. You can distribute these cards wherever you go, and even give them to people you meet.
Having GRATITUDE is so all-important, that without it, you may block any good that is now on the way to you. It’s not generally likely you will stifle this good completely, however, you may possibly delay it in coming. This may be evidenced by the apparent fact that you are still trying to SELL YOUR HOUSE. If you have worked with so many of the techniques presented in this book, and even some of your own, then you will be able to bring into physical manifestation the very thing you are trying to receive - to SELL YOUR HOUSE; an objective that is already finalized in the inner worlds, and which you merely want to see manifest in your outer life. Relax and have patience, for it WILL.
24) BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING NEGATIVE THAT OCCURS FOR YOUThis is a great testing technique, for we really are thankful when something seemingly negative happens in our lives. I would consider over 150 people coming through my house, and not buying it, more than just an inconvenience. It’s a great test of perseverance. I can just sit back and have the attitude: WELL, IT WILL EVENTUALLY SELL! And this may be true. But how many more people will have to parade through your home before this occurs?
Why not just be thankful for what appear to be negative, or unpleasant situations in your life! By doing this, you neutralize them. These so-called negative situations that occur for you, are merely tests. They are testing your resolve. By not giving into them, and losing your nerve, so-to-speak, you not only neutralize the seeming negative occurrence you, learn from it and you leap ahead faster than you can imagine.
Do not be concerned if you do not always see the immediate rewards or gratification of your actions. When negative things occur for you, smile, and say:
THANK YOU FOR THIS GIFT.
PLEASE SHOW ME THE MEANING IT HAS FOR ME, OR THE LESSON IT IS HERE TO TEACH ME.
With regards to this writing ONLY, ask:
WHAT IS THE REASON MY HOUSE HAS NOT YET SOLD?
WHY AM I STILL LIVING HERE?
WHY HAS THE RIGHT PERSON NOT COME ALONG TO PURCHASE THIS HOUSE?
WHAT MORE DO I NEED TO DO TO SELL THIS HOUSE?
WHAT LESSONS DO I STILL NEED TO LEARN?
You might also want to become aware of the way you phrase your questions as well. It is often better to ask HOW than it is to ask WHY. The above statements are the traditional ways to ask: WHY, WHY oh WHY!!!
Perhaps by changing them to HOW, you will be able to see more clearly. Let’s try to rephrase here a bit:
HOW CAN I DO MORE TO HELP MY HOUSE SELL?
HOW CAN I DO MORE TO MOVE OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND INTO ANOTHER?
HOW CAN I ASSIST THE RIGHT PERSON TO COME ALONG AND PURCHASE THIS HOUSE?
HOW CAN I DO MORE TO ASSIST THE SELLING OF THIS HOUSE?
HOW CAN I BECOME MORE AWARE OF THE LESSONS I STILL NEED TO LEARN?

This, then, is the virtual end of this writing. You have now been shown and given many keys to open many doors in your life. I can give you no more, unless it is to say:
THERE REALLY IS
NO SUCH THING
AS A LOUSY REAL ESTATE MARKET!
